Syrian Youth Empowerment (SYE)
WHAT: A mentorship program for the most vulnerable Syrian students to guide them through the process of applying to universities overseas. SYE provides free SAT and TOEFL classes for students in Syria, taught by world-class online prep platform. SYE continues to support its students during college and after they complete their degree. This year, SYE, secured admissions and full scholarship for Syrian students at Harvard, Stanford, Brown, Columbia, MIT, Duke, Georgetown among others.

FUNDING NEED: A total of $25,000 raised will enable SYE to double their student intake; providing over 80 students with college training and scholarship opportunities to top US institutions. Every dollar contributed will bring SYE closer to this goal.
WHAT: BYkids mentors teens to tell their stories through film and share the realities of global inequality and injustice on a world stage. We give kids agency to inspire, empower and enact change. Kids learn citizenry through empathy, using film as a starting point for cross-cultural conversations – in schools, on public television, and in screenings and festivals around the world. The result: Each of BYkids films are viewed and discussed with millions of teens, educators and their families, creating common ground among us.

FUNDING NEED: A total of $25,000 raised will enable BYkids to create teaching materials for a new social issue film; tacking resurgent anti-semitism as told through through the eyes of a Jewish teenage boy living in Berlin. Any amount contributed will support this goal.
THE KARAM FOUNDATION
WHAT: Karam Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a better future for Syria. Karam develops Innovative Education programs for Syrian refugee youth, distributes Smart Aid to Syrian families, and funds Sustainable Development projects initiated by Syrians for Syrians. Karam aim to address the barriers and obstacles that Syrian refugees face to accessing education and employment opportunities, and do this by providing access to tools and resources empowering them to realize their own potential. Karam recently announced their initiative to build 10,000 Leaders for the Future of Syria by 2028; a Karam leader is every Syrian who we empower to build a better future for themselves and their communities. They build leaders by providing innovative education programs, access to higher education, and training for competitive job skills and careers. Future leaders compound their impact by influencing, inspiring, and mentoring more leaders.

Every dollar contributed support will provide students with the assistance they need in order to access and advance their education and build a better future for themselves.
